Cullercoats RNLI Harbour Day 30th July 2005

Cullercoats RNLI Harbour Day this year was different - the unpredictable North Sea weather turned from summer sun into a cool rainy grey - for the first time ever the Harbour Day went indoors. At very short notice the event was moved to the Cullercoats Community Hall,on the Bank Top. Update: The total money raised towards saving lives at sea- £5,707.77p

Undaunted by the weather of steady rain, the hall quickly filled up with visitors determined to support this years event. The stalls did brisk business, the band played, and outside the Lifeboat crew members allowed the public to throw buckets of water over them for £1 donation to RNLI funds....
