2003 November Cullercoats December 2003

The photos left and below taken on the 6th November show the low autumn sun at 3pm. The Watch House (left) is warmed by a golden glow. This building erected in 1870, was the place where the Cullercoats Life Brigade would stand watch in the event of disaster at sea. The RNLI continue this task today from their recently modernised Lifeboat Station below.

The photo above is taken from the shelter of the Watch House front seats, and gives a view over the bay looking south. The photo left shows Cliff House from the north, with the Queens Pub just in view to the far left of picture.
