Its a warm September day, these photos taken on the morning of the 8th show the beach has been returned to the fishermen. Schools are back, and only the very small children and their mothers watch the boats go out to sea.

	The tractors come and go launching the cobles into the flat calm sea. But a new boat is to come to Cullercoats - next year the RNLI get the first Atlantic 85 (click here for the full story) to go into service in the North of England. Photo left is available on the download page for your desktop.
